Adrian Mill is the head of the Environmental and Social Sustainability team at Moore Stephens, and is based in Dakar, Senegal. He has nearly 20 years of experience and has managed the environmental and social compliance of multi-million dollar large-scale infrastructure projects in Africa and the Middle East. He has also undertaken numerous Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) due diligence studies, gap analyses and audits of such projects on behalf of international and private financial institutions.
Adrian has specific expertise in projects financed or co-financed by international financial institutions, including the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the African Development Bank and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, among other financiers. In addition, he has been successfully engaged in the private sector to define and negotiate environmental and social conditions related to project financing.
Examples of work that Adrian has managed include ESG due diligence studies, auditing, Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS), Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) and Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP), on-site environmental and social management, and policy analysis.
Adrian possesses a wide range of multidisciplinary skills that allows him achieve client objectives in emerging economies while ensuring the economic, environmental and social sustainability of projects. He has also been recognized as a ‘Chartered Environmentalist’ and ‘Chartered Scientist’ by the Institute of Environmental Sciences in the UK, and speaks English, French and Spanish fluently.
