The 8th edition of SIM Senegal will take place at the Centre International de Conférences Abdou Diouf & the Centre des Expositions, Diamniadio in Dakar from 04 – 06 November 2025. The event will be organised by the Ministry of Mines & Geology, Republic of Senegal in association with AME Trade. This year’s edition will be held under the theme: Mineral Resources: a lever for economic sovereignty.
SIM Senegal is a bi-annual mining event. The event has established itself as one of the largest mining events in West Africa and is the only event supported by the Senegalese government dedicated to expanding the country’s mining sector. SIM 2025 will allow all participants to find out more about the policies and priorities of the new government elected in 2024, which include to use the mining sector as a “lever for progress, through exemplary governance of mining resources, focused on a win-win strategy, environmental preservation, and equitable redistribution of income.”
SIM Senegal 2023 gathered over 900 attendees from 30 countries, consisting of 22 sponsors and more than 80 exhibition stands. The high-level audience demonstrated the importance of the event and its impact on the West African mining sector.
SIM Senegal attracted a unique and diverse range of mining stakeholders from the following industries: mining services, exploration and production, associations, international and national governments, lawyers, consultants, transport, logistics, finance, banking, and educational organizations.
The Mining Investment Battlefield provides an opportunity for holders of mining exploration licenses, semi-mechanized mining licenses, or small-scale mining licenses, to present their companies at the heart of the SIM SENEGAL to promote viable projects to investors. This dedicated space fosters high-value deals by offering curated one-on-one meetings with key stakeholders, live project showcases featuring bankable mining deals, and direct engagement with investors, lenders, and strategic partners.
SIM Senegal will collaborate with leading mining companies to establish paid internships and employment pathways for the next generation of miners. SIM Senegal gives both current and recently graduated students, the chance to meet the recruiters in Senegal’s mining industry. Top candidates will be pre-selected from Senegal’s educational institutions and connected with current vacancies and opportunities
